This is a taken from the Icelandic Coastguard plane on an ELTA radar, and is approx. 2.5 km in diameter.

This is the one who sends the ash to Europe.

    It’s a dreadful moment in time for the flight industry, but our prayers – whether or not the images of the eruption are truly awesome – need to be with those men and women stationed very far from home.Thanks regarding your current post.

    The effects of this eruption are incredible. We have had eruptions so often in Iceland, but this has never happened before.

    Things will go back to normal soon.
